We have lived in the world of trimmer guards for many years. No matter the style, there are compromises.

The snap guard system is one of simplest and comprehensive guard systems ever created.  The double-sided guards plus adjustable blade offer a massive cutting range with 32 different lengths between 1 mm and 14mm) The magnetic locking system is as secure as it is simple. The guard set includes a case to magnetically store and access the guards. All 4 guards nest in a tight bundle for convenient storage without the case. The Snap Guard system uses a thicker plastic profile to increase stability and durability over previous guard styles.

Top-tier so far!

The snap blade assembly transition to perfect onto my older unit and works like a champ. It cuts with efficiency, accuracy, and works exceptional with the snap blades, making ease of use both predictable, and easier to shift from size to size. Worth the upgrade, worth the purchase, and well worth the extra benefits.

Unique Design

The design is very unique. The snap guards pop on magnetically. Essentially a zero blade without the guards. Highly recommended.

Must have upgrade!

These guards must be purchased with the the new Snap Blade. The guards and the blades have magnets in them along with 'locking tabs '. The magnets hold the guard to the blade and the tabs keep them meshef together. Together, these two accessories fix the only complaint I've had with the Brio: difficultly changing the length guard. No more guessing if the guard is in place it literally snaps itself into place. In addition, if I pressed a little too hard with the old system, the guard would pop off. That doesn't happen with the Snap Blade/Guard. Perfectly engineered upgrade!

The last item I have on my Brio wish list is a pivoting head along with a button to prevent the head from pivoting for those that don't want that feature.
