1-2mm guard

Bought this replacement as the other guard broke.

Guard is sharp on the edges which needs to be filed down to smooth out.

I find this replacement is harder to attach to the unit compared to the original.

Guards are definitely the weak point of a fantastic trimmer.

Brio Clipper awful combs

The Brio Clipper itself is brilliant.

Very well made and the battery lasts for ages however the plastic combs (guards) are awful.

The combs (guards) are made from very brittle plastic and break very easy. Inlike plastic combs I have used from other brands.

I am on my 3rd combs now due to the original breaking and then a replacement breaking.

When the 3rd comb breaks I will be changing for a different clipper.

Such a shame because the clipper is brilliant.

Poor Quality and too expensive

As many others have said I love my brio timmer but the blades are really bad. They are so brittle to the point I would advise against buying this trimmer for anyone in the market - sorry Brio ! Fix the blades and it will be a great product

We are actually just about to release a new guard system, they are called "Snap Guards" and they are super sturdy and easy to attach! They will be compatible with the snap blade, which is compatible with all versions of the Beardscape. Guards break way too easily!

I love this shaver but it is unfortunately let down by the fragile guards. I have had to replace mine twice now because they just snap down the middle. I’m not wasting any more money on buying replacements. I will be looking for a different trimmer with more durable guards.

Hello, William! Thanks for reaching out through your review. I'm so sorry to hear that our guards have broken on you! It's a delicate balance to get the plastic thick enough to not break, but thin enough to glide through hair. We have changed up our plastic mixture and they are a little more robust now. Very frustrating

I love this product except for the missing 4mm-5mm guard. It's impossible to get a good fade when the guard jumps from 3mm -6mm. I've had my beardscape pro for 2 years and the 4mm-5mm guard is permanently out of stock!

Do not buy, these things break easily.

I had one snape right down the middle, replaced that one, and after some use some of the guards 'tooths' broke of.

Do not buy, waste of money.

1-2mm Trim guard

The 1-2mm trim guard is too flimsy and not easy to attach, which is why it snapped in half! Please design a better way of attaching the guard, so it doesn't have to flex so much which results in breakage.

Another issue with the 1-2mm guard is it is sharp! I remove the sharp edges with Scotchbrite. I understand this would increase the production cost, but how about including an small piece of Scotchbrite with the trimmer?

Lastly, I remember how long it took for the postage company to deliver the trimmer! They company you use are no where near as efficient as RoyalMail.

Great Product, Great company

I have used the Brio beardscape since around 2019-2020 and it is my go to shaver, not only because the actual product is great but because the company has amazing customer service and great values. I'm not in the US, so there's been a few times (like with these guards) I've had shipping issues and Brio just takes the hassle out of it and makes sure you're sorted, even though it's probably not profitable for them to do so on something as small and inexpensive as a guard. I would give 5/5 for the product and for the company, my experience with them has made me a loyal customer of the brand. Particular shout out to Noble from their customer service team. Cheers.
